The purpose of this procedure is to explain how to use the California Registry.

Status Definitions

Arrived - Used when a train arrives into a yard.
Assigned - Used to assign a tag or train to a certain track
Departed - Used when a train has departed a yard.
Hump in Progress - Used when a train is being humped
Hump Complete - Used when a train has been completely humped
Processing - Used when cars are loading or unloading. For example, SBD IM yard.
Released - Used when a train is ready for departure. Some yards will have departure times for trains.
The following are to be used by a Yardmaster or under the direction of a Yardmaster.
Build - Used when a train is ready to be built. Follow Yardmaster instructions for details.
Clear to Hump - Used when a train is ready to be humped.
Hold - Used when a track is to be held for an incoming train
Open - Used when a track is clear
Pull - Used when a track needs pulled. Follow Yardmaster instructions for details.
The following are to be used for Local Work only.
Complete - Used when a Pull or Work order has been completed
Crew Change - Used when a local requires crew change to complete work
Enroute - Used when a supply train is enroute. This is mainly used for Kaiser.
On Duty - Used when a local is On Duty
Work - Used when work needs done. Follow Yardmaster instructions for details.
Form Entry

User ID - Enter the User ID you use in Run8
Select Yard - Select the Yard you want to make an entry for.
Click Next to continue
Train ID or Destination Code - Select Train ID or Destination Code if applicable.
Status - Select a Status based on the above definitions.
Track Number - Select the track number.
Weight - Enter the weight of the cars or train on the track.
Length - Enter the length of the cars or train on the track.
