Since we are using the ED Simulator from time to time, toning out the Dispatcher is immensely helpful for whatever you might need. Here is an easy guide to get you "on the air" so to speak:

Step one: Get inside your cab and face the radio panel (over your left shoulder)

Step two: Set the radios channel. Click the CHAN button. It should turn slightly red (sometimes hard to see)

If you are on the Needles Subdivision, enter *, then 1 then 2

If you are on the Mojave Subdivision, enter * then 1 then 3

If you are on the Cajon Subdivision, enter * then 1 then 4

If you are anywhere in California on a UP Train, enter * then 5 then 4

Step three: Tone the Dispatcher. Click the DTMF button. It should turn slightly red (sometimes hard to see)

If you are on the Needles Subdivision, enter * then 1 then 2

If you are on the Mojave Subdivision, enter * then 1 then 3

If you are on the Cajon Subdivision, enter * then 1 then 4

If you are anywhere in California on a UP Train, enter * then 5 then 4

If you have an emergency at any time, * 9 1 1 on any channel will tone out the dispatcher.

You can always reach the Dispatcher on Channel 0, although the tones wont work there.

Easy and simple as that my good friends. Try it out. You will like it. Questions or issues? Ask us anything on Channel 0 when we are on duty.
