I've been doing some research on the Mojave Flyer. It goes from west Colton to Mojave 7 days a week. I have seen it as WCTR - TRWC and LOQ91 "Mojave Flyer" Does anyone know which is correct?

LOP53 runs Mon to Sat. M-W-F and services monolith, tehachepi and Chafee. At Chaffee it interchanges with Progressive Rail which is a 3rd party switcher. This actually switches the airport. The Trona Railway serves searles valley minerals. Tues Thurs Sat it services the south industries all the way to Palmdale. RLVCEC is a cement train that runs as needed to and from Las Vegas. Emptys from and loads to. There is a symbol for one that runs to the Port of Stockton, CA as well. It would terminate at Calportland Cement (mojave) off the wye in the sim. As far as the LOP82 I mistakenly said it ran on the trona branch which in reality is the Lone Pine Branch.
Sounds good. I'm using data that is early 2010 so I imagine that everything was the same then. I have no data for UP on the Mojave Sub other than whay you and others have mentioned to me. The only solid data would be that comes in, out, and through Barstow.
I'll gladly add this data suggested, unless somoene has other data from 2010 that may oppose this.
I take it my brief assumption that Mojave Flyer actually served Monolith (from the screen shot on Run8Studio's website) is probably not correct.
Going back to the actuall Flyer for 1 second of course I will be taking the detour over BNSF since we don't have a physical connection.
Now it's been a while since I've done reserach on the Mojave Sub but when you mentioned 53 serving the industries to the south that got me thinking about some potential.
I know the 1st tank industry was active durring our era. The 2nd apparently is not. However I'm curious now what is between the end of Run8's main at Fleta all the way to Palmdale?
Not sure if I'm going to get around to doing any more research in the area or not, but I'm definately curious what cars, types, loads, empties, etc. that may come in and out on 53. I could probably use my old Fleta spawn to simulate an interchange for Mojave on those days for 53.

UP ULBTN Run8 Long Beach (Fleta) to Trona
Union Pacific's Long Beach to Trona empty unit Potash train makes its run up the Saugus Line (MetroLink Line) heading back to the Northern Mojave Desert for another load. SEE 4599_1270693951.jpg
This entry is a 2007 train to and from Long Beach for Export Potash. Long Beach is still the Port for Export Potash now. It would be reasonable to assume this train still exists.

RSTMJC-22 3 engines, 48 cars LD
A pair of Union Pacific SD60M's team with SD70ACe 8326 to bring the RSTMJC-22 over the Tehachapi's. This cement train which carries product out of the Monolith and Oak Creek cement plants runs a few times a month between Stockton, CA and Mojave, CA (westbound= loaded, eastbound= empty). This is roughly MP 375.5 on the Mojave Subdivision and is just east of Warren. SEE 5329_1340750529.jpg

Sean,
"I know the 1st tank industry was active durring our era."
One is Niklor Chemical Co. Inc.
IN: Chemical tank cars 13 Tank cars seen on Google and FRA; Manufacturer of chloropicrin since 1958. The California strawberry industry is our main success story. Chloropicrin is often formulated with methyl bromide or telone. These mixtures control nematodes and/or weeds. Also at this location: TriCal, Inc is a distributor and applicator of soil conditioning and fumigation products with a focus on fresh fruits and vegetables. Distributes Niklor products in Southern and Central California.
The second is an Asphalt Plant.
Paramount Petroleum Corporation Asphalt Termination
IN: Asphalt in tank cars; OUT: Empty tank cars Mojave Terminal; 260,000 Bbls of Asphalt Storage; 2 Truck Loading Racks; 12,000 Feet of Rail Spur on Site; 35 tank cars Google; 67 tank cars FRA
Also South of Mojave are 91 tank cars on a siding. Storage or empties from the Asphalt Plant?
They are on our California Map in the Wikia. I added them a while ago.

I haven't looked at the map but now that I recall there is actually 3. Isn't the 2 you mentioned basically at the same location but one is further back? From my research there was nothing left at the very last industry before the end of the line. I believe Niklor was the one closest to Mojave then Paramount was in behind it. But I could be wrong.
The potash is an interesting one because I don't have a unit train headed in and out, but that would make sense. I do have a local customer as well at Edison (Simplot) as well as some regional distribution through Barstow. I believe the amount of cars I've seen certainly warrants a unit train. Not so sure how frequent these trains are or how much they produce per day lets say. I imagine some of it could still come out on the local to Mojave for distribution as I have at it as well (but I could be wrong on that one too).
Cement is interesting when you mention a couple of times a month. Now I'm wondering if this is it's only source of cement cars but I doubt it at that low of numbers 100 a month. I've got to add something with all this good info in this thread so it doesn't get buried in the forums.
Hi Speedracer702,
Is LOP053 the M-W-F and services to Monolith, Tehachapi and Chafee? and the LOP51 Tues Thurs Sat services to the south industries all the way to Palmdale? I have both trains listed. If it is it probably uses the same Mojave engines, just diff. designation.
Leland
